Mussorgsky, the “most Russian” composer, started his military service respecting and following family traditions. His juvenile pieces were inspired by the tales of his nurse. By the age of thirty, Bozay had played 6 instruments. He played the flute, the clarinet, the saxophone, played the piano, the zither and the recorder. Khachaturian could not read sheet music for a long time and studied biology, his music was also heard in Hollywood productions such as „Aliens”. Three composers who were quite different but had a common love of folklore and music. On the 28th of March, listen to their works performed by the Miskolc Symphony Orchestra at the House of Arts!
Mussorgsky: Three short orchestral pieces (Intermezzo in modo classico, Scherzo in B flat major, The Capture of Kars)
Attila Bozay: Pezzo Sinfonico No. 3
Khachaturian: Suite from Spartacus
