In the 2026/2027 season, Filharmonia Hungary once again brings outstanding musical experiences to the subscribers of the Master Season Ticket in Pécs. Alongside renowned artists, exciting new highlights await audiences, filling the exceptional acoustic space of the Kodály Centre with unforgettable musical moments.

The season opens in September with the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra, presenting a special event: the second round of the Liszt Ferenc International Piano Competition. Prize-winning young talents will perform Liszt’s virtuosic piano concertos and Totentanz under the baton of György Vashegyi. In December, the Saint Stephen Philharmonic Orchestra presents a large-scale new work: Zsolt Kereszturi-Albert’s Penta Essentia, inspired by the Hungarian spirit and the concept of the “five geniuses.”

In January, the Budapest Festival Orchestra, conducted by the world-renowned Marin Alsop, performs powerful works by Strauss, Barber and Shostakovich. They return again in March, this time under Robin Ticciati, bringing Rachmaninoff’s dramatic sound world and Strauss’s monumental music to the stage. The season concludes with a special highlight: Capella Savaria and the Purcell Choir present the Hungarian premiere of Stölzel’s Brockes-Passion.
